Garden therapy

Lately, we have been spending time as a family in our backyard either planting seedlings in our veggie garden while enjoying the Winter sun, or enjoying the warmth of the campfire my hubby built.

We love roasting marshmallows and keeping cozy!

Back in March we finally got around to buying a raised garden bed which made the start of our veggie patch. The girls have been excited about having their own garden and watching the veggies grow. Over the past few months, we have been rewarded with some crisp cos lettuce, radishes, tatsoi, snow peas, spinach, and carrots.

Some of our fresh veggies, snow peas and new seedlings we planted (fennel, leek and red cabbage)

This morning we planted some new seedlings we picked up at our local grower's market on the weekend. We now have a leek, red cabbage, endive, butter lettuce, fennel, along with snow peas, peas, lemongrass, beetroot, kale, broccoli, spring onions, and carrot (the one and only which seems to be growing!) in our patch. Along with some lovely flowers for the back deck.

We are keeping our (green) fingers crossed that our patch is successful!

Do you enjoy gardening or have a veggie garden?

Share your snaps - June

It's been a busy couple weeks for me with the girls being home for school holidays, so I apologise that not much has been happening on the blog. I have been juggling time with the girls and working on my business, while Hubby's had to work. Apart from taking the odd day off so he could care for me after I had a tooth removed 😷, we have been waiting for the weekends to spend time together. We went on a lovely drive out to the Megalong Valley back in June, so I thought I'd share some of those snaps with you in #shareyoursnaps.

Can you believe we are nearly through July!! crazy!
