Sometimes I feel as though she's turning 13, not 9. I have a granddaughter turning 9 this year and already in the brief times we get to catch up these days, I can see some changes in her in terms of confidence and demeanour. She has 'lost' some of her impulsive and loving ways because of 'growing up' more I guess. We cared for her from 0 to 5 so it is noticeable when we see her.
